Still in bed I stare across the room at her through blurry eyes. Watching her put on her clothes for the day, admiring. Stuck in her own world while she fixes her hair and wipes the remaining lip stick from the corners of her mouth, I admire. I admire her sharp shoulder blades and perky breasts. The creases above her knees as she bends at the waist picking something up. Even the way she straightens out one side of her underwear over her bum. She pulls the sweater over her head neglecting the hair still tucked in the collar and she returns to bed.
